Jim (Dad) and Cheyenne are busy at work making dulcimers. Jim is working on a fretboard, using the balloon sander to put a strum hollow between the last fret and the bridge. Cheyenne is sanding the sides of a FolkRoots D Series instrument on our flat leveling table. The table is covered with sandpaper, and by moving the body (which now includes everything except for the back) across the table, he's getting the sides 100 percent flat, so that when he installs the back, the seams are perfect.
