Tosca Distributed Execution Masterclass - Setup Dex Server, Agent and Run Test Events in Multiple DEX Agents Are you ready to configure Tosca Distributed Execution with AOS over HTTPS? 🔹 Step 1: Install DEX Server Perform the Tosca Server installation using either the Installer or Unattended mode. Configure Tricentis Service settings, including Automation Object Service (AOS). Update the Distribution Server Address and Elastic Execution Grid settings if needed. 🔹 Step 2: Install Tosca Commander Install Tosca Commander on machines where tests will be created and executed. 🔹 Step 3: Install Agents Each Agent requires a separate machine—no container or Terminal Server setups allowed! Select the appropriate Agent type in the installer and follow the installation instructions. 🔹 Step 4: Set Up Server Access The DEX Server requires authentication via API tokens for Agents and workspace users. Register accounts, generate access tokens, and configure the Tosca Server services endpoint. 🔹 Step 5: Configure Database Storage AOS defaults to SQLite, but MS SQL Server is recommended for optimal performance. Prepare an empty MS SQL Server database, set up user permissions, and configure the connection string. 🔹 Step 6: Configure Agent for HTTPS, Self-Signed Certificates, or Proxy Servers Modify the Agent configuration file if using a self-signed certificate or proxy. Update necessary settings in the ToscaDistributionAgent.exe.config file. 🔹 Step 7: Start & Connect Agents Agents must be started and connected via GUI when using HTTPS. Specify the DEX Server address and authenticate with API tokens. 🔹 Step 8: Manage Licenses & Workspaces Agents require an ExecutionOnly license, and workspaces must be connected to a shared repository. Set up multi-user workspaces for AOS to ensure access to test artifacts. 🔹 Step 9: Configure Parallel Execution Enable ExecutionList distribution among multiple Agents for faster test execution. 🔹 Step 10: Access AOS REST API Authenticate requests using headers and access automation services via REST endpoints. ⚡ Final Step: Begin Automated Testing! With Tosca Distributed Execution fully configured, you're ready to optimize your test execution! Need help?
