Triplett 3344 Not Working "Can only Set The Line"
Can set the line but will not test a tube. Today I tried the same 6L6 I tried previously, and just in case it was the octal tube socket that was the problem, I tried a 6AQ5 and again nothing; no movement on the meter when the value switch is pulled down. The tester has all the original paper electrolytic capacitors, there are several, and you can see that some of them are leaking. Not sure if that is the problem, but those definitely need to be changed. It looks really nice with all the original components and might work properly if the issue that is stopping a tube from being tested is replacing old components, but the issue may be worse than that. There is just no way to tell without doing some extensive work.
