Discover the Rhyming Secrets of the Pros!

Have you ever had to change your lyrics to find the best way of rhyming to express the emotion of your song? For a lot of songwriters, this is the case. This is kind of doing things backward. Rhyme types and rhyme schemes should not just support the meaning and emotion of our lyrics but they should help create it. Rhyming in lyrics is just one of many tools songwriters have to get the emotion and meaning of our songs across. Nothing stops the creative flow faster than when we get an idea for a lyric and immediately start searching our brains for a suitable rhyme. What actually happens when we do this is, we switch from a right-brain creative mindset to a left-brain logical mindset. So unless you are a random lyric generator, this will not help come up with lyrics.
