Rurouni Kenshin AMV - The moment we're lost and found

This is even older, than the Aoi Bungaku one, I edited it like... half a year ago. Rurouni Kenshin is one of my favourite mangas of all time, it has a deep, heart-wrenching story about guilt, loss, love, belief, and the struggle to do what's right. And it's Meiji Era, which is perhaps the most interesting historical age for me. I didn't really like the concept of the OVA from which this AMV was edited from, because Kenshin suffered so much in his life, he didn't deserve to go away with a horrible disease like leprosy. But it also had beautiful animation, much better, than the main series, it captured the melancholy of the story which the original anime failed (but the live actions did an amazing job in the case of this manga), it has a kind of darkness, but also an original, interesting style. So I had to edit with it. The song is "Wings" by Birdy, I heard it in the trailer of "Winter's Tale", and some lines are really fitting. To take out: "Lights go down" perfectly shows how Kenshin encountered old enemies all along his way, and when there were no new enemies, came the disease as the last battle, he couldn't win. "Damn these walls" means for me how he closed himself off from the world, but also tried to make contact, and "We'd remember tonight for the rest of our life" his relationship with Kaoru. When he gets his dementia as well, she is the only thing he remembers until the very end. Of course, as always, the video is fanmade, I do not own anything. Hope you enjoy!
