Luigi arrives on Floor 8: Paranormal Production, a haunted movie studio packed with bizarre sets and cinematic tricks. While exploring the lobby, he discovers mysterious teleporting TVs that allow travel between rooms—and even transport objects across studios. In the main studio, Luigi meets Morty, a sorrowful ghost movie director who has lost his precious red megaphone. Unlike other ghosts, Morty isn’t hostile, so Luigi chooses to help instead of fight. To retrieve the megaphone, Luigi must solve a multi-step puzzle across four movie sets, moving objects through TVs to create water, plant growth, fire, and finally burn away the webs trapping the item. Grateful, Morty casts Luigi in his next production—a chaotic Kaiju battle on a miniature city set! Luigi reflects energy blasts back at the monster, exposes the ghost inside, and wins the showdown. He earns the 9th floor elevator button, leaving Morty behind to keep making movies.
