For the sermon 👇 • Lt. Dr. Ps. Rev. Megha Chandra Singh's Mem... The Memorial Service of Late Bro. Megha Chandra Singha was held today at Silchar Baptist Church with a good number of participants. The service was chaired by Pastor Lekhan Pegu, and the Word of Encouragement was delivered by Dr. Fame Singh, based on 2 Timothy 4:9–16. In his message, Dr. Fame Singh explained in detail the suffering and pitiable condition of Apostle Paul during his imprisonment in Rome, when he had no expectation of release or emancipation. Apostle Paul was also suffering physically from the cold, which led him to ask Timothy and other believers to bring the cloak he had left at Troas. Dr. Fame vividly described Paul’s condition and then related it to the final days of Bro. Megha Chandra Singha, whose lower limbs were extremely cold. Dr. Fame shared how, at that critical moment, he purchased a new hot water bag and filled it with hot water to keep Bro. Megha’s legs warm. This simple act met the immediate need of the hour. As he shared this experience, many hearts were deeply moved, and tears flowed spontaneously. Sister Chirannjini, the younger sister of Pastor Megha Chandra Singha, also shared briefly about their childhood days. She humbly sought forgiveness for anything her brother may have said or done unintentionally during his lifetime. Her sharing was deeply touching and emotional. Many church leaders and friends spoke about the love, dedication, and valuable contributions rendered by Dr. Megha Chandra Singha as the former Principal of NEIBBC & S, Chairman of BIIS, Mission Director of FBCI, and in many other capacities. Though I recalled many things in my heart, I could not share them at that moment. Nevertheless, I felt deeply grateful for the invaluable services Dr. Megha Chandra Singha rendered in the history of NEIBBC & S. He was a man of sobriety, dignity, and respect. His passing is a great loss, particularly to BMM. A faithful and farsighted leader has gone ahead of us. We miss him deeply. All members are hereby requested to continue upholding the bereaved family in prayer, seeking God’s providential care, comfort, and consolation during this time of grief and bereavement.
