******** update*********** Bought a brand new NUWAVE PRO PLUS , (See link below to buy one) everyone said my old one was broke and took too long to cook chicken, ORIGINAL VIDEO: • Cooking chicken thighs & legs in NuWave Ov... ,,,,,, so I bought another one and tried it out today, anyway, I went by the Nuwave cooking instructions and bird cooked in 40 minutes less time than recommended, showed to cook a 6 lb whole bird 20 minutes a lb for 2 hours, It was done in actually 1 hr & 20 minutes instead of 2 hrs with an internal temp of between 165 & 185, chicken was very juicy, breasts were very juicy and none of the whole bird was dry at all, very, very moist, Beer battered Brats were excellent also. This pro plus have the improved more durable dome and stainless steel extender ring for cooking a whole Turkey. it was not "burnt" on top, that was just the brown sugar in my seasoning mix that I make that turns black when cooked closer to the heating element. I like my skin real crispy, but if you use the rack and flip it over for 1" you can cook the Chicken like way lower and it won't get as crispy and turn dark on the top, but that's the way I like it, so cook it however you like it, or cook it high like I did and when it looks done on top, put ALUMINUM FOIL OVER THE TOP TO KEEP THE EXTRA INFRARED HEAT OFF THE TOP OF THE SKIN. Nuwave Pro Plus instructions: Says to cook everything on 350 degrees F. Whole bird you cook 16-20 minutes a lb. fresh thawed bird (longer for frozen) 2 hrs, but ONLY took 1 hr & 20 minutes to very fully cooked to internal temp. of 165 to 185.
