Tourist Town - A short scenic animation

This short scene was created with iClone 8. My goal was to see how far that I could push my Nvidia GTX 1080 8gig video card. The town was created using various assets available in the Content Store, including the bridge set, Elvin buildings, and Modern City buildings. I used 26 actors which were Low Poly casting characters, and Actor Core characters. The bike was bought from the Content store, and enhanced, and rigged for the girl bike rider. Sheepdog is standard in iClone. The VISUAL panel was extensively used....shadows were pushed to max rez, IBL/HDR lighting was used steming from an 8k HDR image, also used for the background, also bloom effects, fog, and post fx for color adjustment. Plugins were used for camera shake, and fountain water fx. This project became very difficult to work with, as my video card memory was sometime beyond it's 8gig limit, depending on the angle used. Rendering the shots out took around 5-7 seconds per frame at 1080p. Saving project files, even to a solid state drive, took several minutes due to file size. In retrospec, I wouldn't recommend pushing things that far, but at least I know now what my limitations are. Editing was done in Hitfilm, where custom music created with Filmstro, and sound effects were added. Enjoy.
