According to him, the wheels of his empty semi-trailer locked. The entire combination started to slide and turned almost 180 degrees on the road. The truck then drifted to the right and ended up on a downhill slope, where the tractor unit slid into the woods and was only held up by trees. The fire department secured the truck until the specialist recovery company Kreuzburg arrived and was able to recover the truck. They brought a brand new recovery truck along to the scene of the accident, which was being used for the first time in its life.
