A celebrated cricketer and a legend of the Indian cricket team, Mr Muzumdar has been an inspiration for many and his journey is nothing short of the same. His talk is a recount of the various experiences that have been stepping stones to his success. The glamour and recognition that came with the profession of cricket were met with the pressures of expectation and to perform and deliver every time. The pressure that he refers to also played a huge role in shaping him into the true embodiment and the perfect example of the theme ‘eco-silience’. The talk weaves a beautiful story of Mr Muzumdar’s journey as he walks the audience through the beats of his professional life. Mr Muzumdar has had an illustrious career as a batsman and athlete and is now the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket. He debuted as a cricketer in 1998 in the Ranji Trophy tournament scoring 260 runs in the first match of his career, contributing to the marginal victory that followed. It was after that victory that he held the world record for ‘any player on their debut in first-class cricket’. He was also the captain of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team in 2006, where the team won a nearly impossible series of matches with his guidance and leadership. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
