I clearly love the current palm trees and exotic plant collection in my main flower beds next to the house. My years of effort and the surprising pace of growth of the existing set of plants in my exotic garden have surpassed my expectations. But now they have outgrown their space and have to go. The evolution of my exotic garden in zone 5B, Ontario Canada since 1988 is recapped and planning my next steps during 2024. What plants would you select for your dream garden to fit this space? Must not exceed 10ft or 3m in height when mature unless they can be pruned back. Select from palm trees either pinnate or palmate, large foliage plants, flowering shrubs, flowering vines and bulbs tubers, corms or rhizomes. To recap ALL OF MY PALM TREES AND EXOTIC PLANTS RECEIVE WINTER PROTECTION WITH THE C9 CHRISTMAS LIGHTS METHOD YEAR AFTER YEAR. Without protection they will not survive a zone 5 winter.
