Day 2 of our Cordillera Loop Level 3 was nothing short of legendary. We kicked off from Vigan City and had breakfast in Batac, Laoag. By the afternoon, we reached our first checkpoint—then the real adventure began. On the way to Mount Kilang, the skies opened and the rain poured down hard. The climb was intense: no road barriers, just raw cliffs and endless fog. It felt like we were riding through the clouds. By 3 PM, we arrived at the Blazing Mountain of the Gods, a surreal checkpoint shrouded in mist. We recharged with some brownies from Marcia’s Delicacies, then pushed forward to Namaltugan through foggy roads and a rough trail section that truly tested us. As the sun began to set, we made a stop at the Butao Checkpoint—right on time for an epic sunset above the sea of clouds. It was the perfect reward for a wild day of riding. We wrapped up the day at Supertram Lodge in Solsona, tired but fulfilled. The rain tested us. The mountains challenged us.
