Homemade transcripted guitar cover of "In a Manica" taken from Sirenia's "At Sixes and Sevens" album (2002) in standard E tuning. 0:00 - intro 0:30 - verse 1 (lead) 1:14 - verse 2 (rhythm) 1:43 - chorus 1 2:12 - bridge 1 2:57 - solo 3:12 - break 4:14 - bridge 2 4:29 - reprise 4:59 - chorus 2 5:28 - outro About 3 hours of work and 8 takes to get this result. Yes there was a time when I used to listen to symphonic gothic metal bands like Tristania, Sirenia or The Sins of Thy Beloved... And I still think they wrote fantastic songs! The first Sirenia album (after the Tristania incident) is a good example of what the genre could offer in the early 2000's: epic songs with great melodies, catchy riffs and heavy guitars. I think this song was originally played on standard B tuning (probably 7-string guitars). Although some parts are missing the lowest notes, it still sounds good in E. I also tried to adapt to violin solo for guitar, it's intentionally not accurate. Recorded with an iRig2, a smartphone and my Ibanez RGAT62. Hope someone will enjoy this :) The original song can be listened here: • In a Manica
