O God, Father of eternal light, on this most holy Christmas Eve, we gather in joyful anticipation of the birth of Your only Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. As the night deepens and the world quiets, we recall the humble journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, and the wondrous mystery of the Incarnation—that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We praise You for the gift of Your Son, born of the Virgin Mary in a lowly stable, wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger. In His humble coming, You reveal Your boundless love, bringing hope to the weary, peace to the troubled, and light to those in darkness. Bless our families and homes this night. May the joy of the angels’ song fill our hearts: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will.” Help us to prepare room in our souls for the Christ Child, forgiving others as we seek Your mercy, and sharing Your love with those in need. O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and Saint Joseph, guardian of the Redeemer, intercede for us, that we may worthily welcome Jesus at His Nativity and always follow His light. As we await the dawn of Christmas, grant us grateful hearts, renewed faith, and the grace to live as children of the light. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Te laudamus pro dono Filii Tui, nati ex Virgine Maria in humili stabulo, fasciis involuti et in praesepi positi. In humili adventu Eius, amorem tuum infinitum revelas, spem fessis, pacem tribulationibus, et lucem in tenebris afferens. Benedic familias et domos nostras hac nocte. Gaudium cantici angelorum corda nostra impleat: "Gloria in excelsis Deo, et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis."
