Paul Scheffer, Vice President of Formindep, discusses how students can be more active in the fight against conflict of interest in medical education. Formindep is a French non-profit organisation that, since its creation in 2004, has been advocating for more independence in health, particularly in relation to the commercial influences of the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry. Formindep gathers health professionals, patients and citizens and is part of the international No Free Lunch Network. This video is part of a series of short videos answering the questions we frequently get asked about pharmaceutical promotion. We’ve invited experts, including some HAI staff members, to submit videos where they answer a key question on pharmaceutical marketing in just a couple of minutes. We hope these videos will be a useful tool for anyone wanting to get across this subject. To learn more or submit a video, visit https://haiweb.org/pharmamarketingfaq/
