Rome, the Eternal City. This was our fifth trip to Italy, but surprisingly our first time visiting the capital, so we had quite a bit to see. During our visit to Rome, we toured Roman ruins, visited museums and churches, and ate tons of pizza, pasta, and gelato. At ice cream shops, look for natural colors and ice cream in shallow buckets (not "mountains"). Drinking water from nasoni (public fountains) = save on bottles.
