Au Salvador pour les championnats du Monde ISA 2023, j'ai beaucoup surfé le spot de la Bocana, en compétition et à l'entrainement. Ce pic droite - gauche est très consistant avec des vagues non stop pendant 10 jours et de l'eau à 31°c ! La droite marche bien à marée basse mais assez difficile à lire avec plusieurs sections pas évidentes: avec un peu de patience, quelques bombes sont à prendre. La gauche fonctionne mieux à marée haute, mais est surfable tout le temps. Généralement, les surfeurs sont concentrés sur la gauche et personne sur la droite...du bonheur :) Attention aux galets, à marée basse il y en a partout, j'y ai laissé une board (dérive arrachée). L'avantage du spot est qu'il prend bien la houle et fonctionne quasiment tous les jours. Les vagues sont puissantes donc pas besoin de beaucoup de taille; et pourtant le spot tient facilement jusqu'à 3 mètres... . . . In El Salvador for the 2023 ISA World Championships, I surfed "la Bocana" a lot, in competition and free surf. This right-left peak is very consistent with non-stop waves for 10 days and water at 31°C! The right works well at low tide but quite difficult to read with several not obvious sections: with a little patience, some bombs are to be taken. The left works best at high tide, but is surfable all the time. Generally, the surfers are concentrated on the left and no one on the right... Watch out for the pebbles, at low tide they are everywhere, I left a board there (broken fins). The advantage of the spot is that it takes the swell well and works almost every day. The waves are powerful so you don't need a lot of size; and yet the spot easily holds up to 10 feet...
