Sri Nityananda Prabhu appeared at Ekachakra in West Bengal in 1474 AD, on Trayodashi, the thirteenth day of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Magha (January–February). He is Lord Balarama Himself, appearing in Kali-yuga, the age of quarrel and confusion. As the first expansion of Lord Sri Krishna, Sri Nityananda Prabhu always guides and leads us toward the Lord. One of His most well-known pastimes showing His unlimited compassion is the deliverance of Jagai and Madhai, two fallen souls who represent the people of Kali-yuga. Devotees celebrate Sri Nityananda Trayodashi to remember His divine appearance and to pray for His boundless grace. Participate in the sacred festivities featuring an elaborate Abhisheka of Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, accompanied by the chanting of Vedic mantras and Harinama Sankirtana.
