Archival footage shot by an American filmmaker in 1947, probably a soldier at US Camp Cavite Area. It contains stock footage of an unknown place in the Philippines: boys playing in the streets, children riding cows, fishermen working on the beach, shops, traffic, and more. 00:13 - the US camp on a bank of Manila Bay (as the Bus 147 goes along it) 00:25 - a US base. The first word on the sign is "CAMP", the second probably is CAVITE (The US Camp Cavite Area was occupied by the 29th Engineer Base Topographic Batallion of the US Army then.). "AC" on car plates may mean "American Cavite". And "Jo-Jo’s'' cars plate with "CV*377" on 04:45 can also сan be decrypted as "Cavite". 05:26 - Ford Bus 147 of "Saint Raphael Transit" (established in 1946 by Jose G. Samala) on MANILA - CAVITE CITY route. Please, comment if you recognize more subjects.
