Although he's a fan of Thicke's music he remembers at the time being humbled by the "Blurred Lines" singer seemingly surpassing him in fame, where at one point he even half-heartedly challenged him to a singing battle back in the mid 2000's, though now he says he'd much rather prefer a collaboration. Later on in the segment, Jon B speaks on how he's released several albums independently after 2004's Stronger Everyday, adding that he's been able to maintain continued success by adapting to the ever-changing music industry since the golden age of R&B.
