On May 15-16, UBC Health hosted Bridging Research and Action, a two-day event focused on catalyzing collaboration and bringing knowledge into action across British Columbia. This session, 'Beyond the Ivory Tower: How Researchers are Driving Change in Health', featured Dr. Victoria Wood, whose research focuses on the role of universities in society beyond education and research, talking with researchers who are actively working to advocate for these types of access, innovation, and policy change. They discuss their research, the ways they are collaborating with health sector partners, and how they apply their research to advocate for changes to help transform the system The Bridging event brought together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, patient and community partners, and other interest holders from across sectors, with in-person sessions at both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan campuses, and virtual participation from across BC and beyond. The session captured in this recording represents a snapshot in time, highlighting ideas and projects that will evolve and shift, and that will shape future conversations. --- Watch more sessions from Bridging Research and Action: • Bridging Research and Action - Concurrent ...
