Day 4 Harvest Caye, Belize Norwegian Breakaway

On Day 4 of our seven day cruise we visited Harvest Caye, Belize which is Norwegian‘s private island. This one is similar to what some of the other cruise lines have done such as Royal Caribbean and Coco Cay in the Bahamas. Harvest Caye is a 75-acre oasis featuring an expansive pool with a swim-up bar, salt-water lagoon for water sports, 7-acre beach, and features shore excursions such as zip lining, snorkeling, and jet skiing. In addition, they have a small wildlife exhibition as well small shops, bars, and a couple restaurants. It pretty much rained on us the whole time we were in port, so we spent the time hiding from the rain and then we figured we would go back to the ship because we were tired of getting rained on. We had dinner at Cagney‘s steakhouse which is an up charge restaurant but they have great steaks and seafood as well as some things you don’t get in the main dining rooms. We went to the show at Syd Norman‘s Pour house. They did a tribute to the Rumors album with a Fleetwood Mac cover band. This is a good venue to hangout if you want a small music type feel.
