How to make rubber dome o rings that fit inside your keycaps to turn switches into tactiles, or to make switches even more tactile. Can be used with spring or can remove the spring entirely from the switch for a lighter actuation, works best with lighter spring switches if you dont want to remove the spring, the tactility is really nice and it doesnt make it a mushy bottom out, PROVIDED the rubber dome sits equal/flush or below (with keycap upside down) the top of the keycap stem (cross mount post) if your keycaps don’t have the plastic supports inside like the one in this video then you have to use 5mm spacer, such as a regular o ring or you can use blu tack (recommended) or you can make a spacer out of hole punched material, I have another video showing how to do that called: how to silence mx switches without mushiness. If the dome is sat too far down in the keycap you wont get the full tactility if it’s too high up it will act like a regular o ring but with good tactility (similar to topre). Get the rubber domes from an old membrane keyboard you might have to cut them from a rubber sheet inside the keyboard or they might be discrete domes.
