It covers the latest work progress of the under construction PCMC-Swargate metro line in Pune and asks a question- 'Why not consider extending the metro route till Nigdi in the first phase itself' ? Other extensions are also as important as Nigdi extestion. Viz. Wagholi extension for Wanaz-Ramwadi line and Katraj extension beyond Swargate. Nigdi is a strategically located area at the entry of Pune region when travelling from Mumbai. It is also at a junction of major industrial establishments and IT parks.
