This canoe is not the best at pivoting when level but I am not comfortable heeling when standing anymore (at least without a 12 foot pole). I use this video to demonstrate that a the canoe can be turned through the transfer of torque. I changed the playback speed of the first pivot since it is not a fast movement. I added the second paddled pivot just because. The rest of the video I wanted to show the canoe running straight without paddling, followed by a couple of turns initiated by torque from body rotation when the swing stops. For this to work really well the canoe should start level when winding up, and then add heel (and some forward pitch) just as the swing stops - these are not the best examples but they worked well enough (there are some earlier videos with more detail).
