Super Mario 3D Land: P-Wing vs No P-Wing (Clearing W8-6 and starting final battle)

This video is a comparison showing which strat is faster on the last 2 stages. The left video shows Mario dying 10 times to pickup both the Invincible Leaf and more importantly the P-Wing. This P-Wing is used to 'skip' the Bowser cart ride on W8-Bowser 2. The right video shows Mario playing through both W8-6 and W8-Bowser 2 without the 2 powerups. As you can see that the P-Wing strat ends up being a bit faster but I don't think the difference would be ~40 seconds. I would say more at around 15-20 seconds, if it is possible for Mario to jump onto the first pillar (that is destroyed by the fireball) and LJ+Flutter to the end of the first Bowser cart ride.
