MATERIALS Paper: Hahnemuehle 640 gsm, cold pressed -Colours: Naples yellow, raw and burnt Sienna, Aureolin, Cobalt blue, Ultramarine blue, viridian, white gouache. Brushes: flat 18 and 10, round 8,6,4,2 Othe materials: water, a sponge, paper tissue. TECHNIQUE: This project is a bit more advanced as you have to pay attention to these issues: the sky is painted in two layers, so be sure that the first one is totally dry before going on with the other one. Don't rush the drying process usying a hair-dryer but let the sky dry naturally; the sea is painted in layers too, at first I decided to leave a large light area and then decided to create a darker one, so if you are happy with the first version stop there, otherwise go on as I do. The waves are preserved as white areas and at the very end I use white gouache for the finishing touches. TECNICA: Questo acquerello è leggermente più complicato rispetto agli altri, basta fare attenzione tuttavia a queste due cose: il cielo è dipinto in due fasi, ricordati di far asciugare la prima velatura senza ricorrere all'asciugacapelli e quando sarà completamente asciutto, procederai alla seconda; anche il mare è dipinto in velature successive, all'inizio ho lasciato un'ampia area chiara ma poi ho pensato di di cambiare le cose e di scurirla: se a te piace la versione con una maggiore quantità di luce, puoi fermarti a un certo punto nel video oppure andare avanti. Le onde sono ottenute lasciando delle aree bianche e poi usando della tempera bianca per i dettagli finali.
