Hey guys Explain Bear here. In today's video I explain what Encrochat is. Encrochat was a telecommunications service provider in Europe. The provider operated end to end encrypted communication networks and special crypto - smartphones. These encrypted networks are very difficult to intercept. Those who had something to hide, for example, organized criminals just got EncroChat. To plan and carry out criminal activities, you need reliable communication. EncroChat was founded in 2016 and between March and June 2020, Europol opened investigations against EncroChat and infiltrated it with the help of French and Dutch investigative authorities by installing a malware on Encrochat terminals. As a result, Encrochat ceased business operations. In Germany alone, more than 2250 investigations against backers and the managers of criminal structures were issued because of the cracked Encrochat messages. But here comes the hammer! All these cracked Encrochat communications were not recognized as evidence by the Supreme Court and thus the criminals cannot be convicted. I will keep you posted when there is news.
