#Tutsi #cushites #nilocushites #sagenomad In this video we see vintage footages of Tutsis taken in Rwanda roughly during the time period of 1885-1990. Brief origin of Tutsi: Tutsis-are originally South Cushites who migrated from modern day Southern Ethiopian Highlands. South Cushites started to migrate southwards from the Horn of Africa into the Great Lakes Region during Pastoral Neolithic (5000 BP - 4500BP) and Elmenteitan Culture. This was long before Bantu Expansion. The Great Lakes Region or modern day (SouthEast Africa) was inhabited by South Cushitic Pastoralists and native Hunter Gatherer groups like Hadza - Sandawe. Many Tutsis-Hima carry E-M293 Y-DNA (E1b1b) it’s a South Cushitic paternal haplogroup that is tied to the spread of pastoralism across Southeast Africa & Southern pastoralism, South Cushites played a great part in spreading pastoralism across the region. But E-M293 is found at the highest frequency among the South Cushites like Iraqw, Burunge and Gorowa in Tanzanzia who still speak Cushitic languages. Cushites ruled Rufiji River Delta as well. By 2500BCE Nilotes from Sudan started to migrate southward and mixed with Cushites which is known as Pastoral Iron Age, because Nilotes were associated with the first introduction of Iron weaponry in that region. A perfect example would be the Maasai, who tend to be Half Nilotic Half Cushitic. 2000BCE Bantu expansion reached modern day Great Lakes region and some mixed with them as well or assimilated with this population and adopted to Bantu languages. Tutsis would have originally spoke a language from South Cushitic branch. There are many South Cushitic languages that went extinct. Taita Pair went extinct and replace by Bantu Languages, Nyanza Rift, East & West Rift went extinct. Remaining South Cushitic speakers are in Tanzania, like to Iraqw people and other hybrid language of Cushitic/Nilotic & Bantu. More research is needed, but it said that the Hima dialect of Runyankole may have remnant Cushitic words that are mainly associated with cattle keeping. Genetically speaking Tutsis & Hima average anywhere from 50%-60% “Cushitic” 20-30% “Nilotic” 10-20% “Bantu” and bits of Hunter Gatherer like Sandawe-Hadza. Tutsis share a common origin with Somalis and Ethiopians.Tutsis carry what’s known as “Ethio-Somali” gene . They often quite share physical appearance in phenotypes as well as some cultural similarities with people like Somalis, Oromo, Sidama, Kambata, Haddiya, Afar etc… Long ago the Cushites lived somewhere between modern day North Sudan and South of Egypt(upper Egypt), this was before the Sahara was a desert. As the Sahara got drier and drier Pastoralists continued to migrate further south and many found themselves along the Nile which provided them with fresh water and pasture for their livestock, many remained in the Horn of Africa while others split 5,000 years ago and continued further south following the White Nile to it’s source in the Great Lakes region and becoming the South Cushitic branch. #Tutsipeople #Tutsihistory #tutsis #tutsiculture #Tutsirwanda #Tutsiburundi #tutsiuganda #Tutsi #abatutsi #Cushites #Somali #oromo #afar #beja #southcushites #pastoralism #pastoralneolithic #iraqw #rwanda #tutsiorigin #abanyamulenge #burundi #ankolecattle #abanyankole #uganda #eastafrica #hornofafrica #cushitic #afroasiatic #habesha #eurasian #e1b1b #Em293 #hima #abahima #Tutsisomaliethiopia #tutsisomali #tutsiwomen #abanyamulenge #amazinayinka #sudan #egypt #nilevalley #nileriver #tutsimigration #tutsioroginaretheysomaliorethiopian #tutsiethiopiaorogin #tutsicushitic #inyambo #inkomokoyabatutsi #tutsidna #tutsigenetics
