🇪🇸 Our Adventure in Cartagena Our adventure in Cartagena turned out to be a perfect mix of history, exploration, and a lot of walking through a city that seems to have 2,000 years of stories around every corner. We started the day near the elegant Cartagena City Hall, before stepping back in time at the Roman Theatre of Cartagena and the fascinating Roman Theatre Museum of Cartagena. Standing inside a Roman theater built more than two thousand years ago is one of those moments that makes you stop and think… the Romans really knew how to build things. Nearby, the historic Catedral de Santa María la Mayor rises beside the theater, adding another layer of history to this incredible city. From there we wandered along the beautiful pedestrian street Calle Mayor, explored the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum District Molinete, admired the impressive Roman Colonnade, and climbed up to the historic Castillo de la Concepción for spectacular views over the harbor and the old town. Cartagena is the kind of city where you start by looking at buildings… and end up looking under your feet, because there’s Roman history everywhere. Let’s just say our step counter got a great workout… but walking through 2,000 years of history is a pretty good excuse.
