In this video i have repaired this nice Sony mw d6c, that had some serious issues. So what was done: Changed servo ic, because customer used power supply with wrong polarity jack and fried servo ic. Ic i have salvaged from very poor state wm dd11 that is also in the picture. After ic swap servo started to work normally. Then all belts and idlers were replaced with new ones. Lubricated tape transport and motor. Fixed broken headphones jack connections- it was messed up by previous technician and played only in mono- no stereo sound was present. Set dolby levels. Set azimuth that was off. Cleaned and demagnetised tape path. Cleaned all switches and potentiometers. After all of these and more…now device works perfectly fine. Tape transport doesn’t give any strange noises (now very quiet) and also device plays in stereo finally. 🥰 #thanks for support IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT MY WORK AND SHARING KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN DO THIS BY SENDING ME A TIP VIA PAYPAL TO: [email protected] THANK YOU 🙏 There is also group on facebook for more discussions about walkmans, cassette decks and other audio: https://www.facebook.com/share/AT8yBq...
