SHARK FRENZY | HUGE TARPON CAUGHT | FISHING WITH CAPTAIN DILLON ON THE OCEAN EXPLORER, TRINIDAD.

Slighty colorful language used in this video guys ! Yet another trip we made onboard the famous Ocean Explorer Charter with Captain Dillon. We did some banking on the north coast, the water was slighty rough in the morning time but from around 2pm the water condition just got worst and worst and we had to leave and change location and we end up came by the first bocas into calm waters. 8 Black Fin Shark the boys managed to capture, Capt. Dillon set out a floating line with a piece of dead bait and we caught 8 sharks like that. While banking, Salmon and Jacks started to bite like chaos but despite the water conditions we had to leave and play it safe and go into calm waters ! A few Salmon, Jacks, Racando, Sharks and one Tarpon was caught. Still thankful for small mercies ! The wind was very strong and different, real powerful ! The current was just ideal for banking and we had dead shrimp, bonito and joshua for bait, live bait was unavailable. The weather was sunny and nice in the morning, blue skies but in the evening the wind picked up and it got overcast. In the evening period, we decided to fish and spend the rest of the day by the bocas and capt. Dillon hooked up into a huge Tarpon aka Granticae and landed him after a couple of minutes, the tarpon was weighed and came in at 51 lbs ! A small artificial lure and 25lb test monofilament line was used to capture the Tarpon. You know what the famous saying is, The last catch is always the best and biggest catch! Indeed it was and it topped off our day really wonderful! Thanks to captain Dillon for yet another safe and excellent day of fishing, the boys truly had alot of fun and laughter ! The day was well spent. Guys keep in mind, we do not target Sharks and Tarpon, very rarely we do target them and when we get them.. nothing ever goes to waste.
