Pediatric distal humerus fractures are common in children, but in very young children, X-rays may not reveal the full extent of the fracture due to incomplete ossification in the pediatric elbow. Recognizing the different fracture patterns is key to appropriately diagnosing and treating pediatric distal humerus fractures. Providers must also consider how the injury may affect neurovascular structures and the distal humeral physis (growth plate).
