My name is Dan, and I am a veterinarian. Today I am talking about the puppy tumor histioctyoma. Histiocytomas are a common red, raised puppy tomorrow. Most histiocytomas can resolve over one to three months. If the histioctyoma gets infected, the veterinarian may need to give the dog antibiotics or surgically remove the histioctyoma. The histioctyoma can be surgically removed, but if it is not causing in problems most veterinarians will leave it. A histiocytoma should always be diagnosed by your vet. A diagnosis of a histiocytoma can be completed with a simple needle sample or a biopsy when the mass is removed. A diagnosis is always needed, because a tumor like a histiocytoma should only be monitor with a working diagnosis. *As always guys, this content is for education and entertainment purposes only.
