Another iconic prog album I've wanted to cover for years. I wanted to do this for the 10 year anniversary, but I realised it's been 10 years since the re-issue. The original album was released in 2014, making this 11 years old! A year late, but oh well... Still one of the best progressive albums ever written, in my opinion! If you don’t know, get to know! I feel that these songs in particular, show everything I’ve been working towards on the kit over the years. There are so many cool grooves and intricacies. My favourite has to be the call and response between the kick and snare at 2:10. Still not sure of the count there, but it is absolute god-tier writing 🔥 And yes, the video is in two parts. My ancient laptop was struggling with that seamless transition into Conspire. I didn't stop recording, just stopped briefly to pause and rewind, then carried on and trimmed the video accordingly. But also forgot to put the lid of the laptop back down, so that's why it looks weird around there aha. I tried again, but had the same issue with laggy transitions, so I went with the first take(s). Not sure why my GoPro keeps turning green at points either. I think that's on its way out too... Fun times! 🙃 DM for any session enquiries/bookings!
