Spreading ocean literacy is part and parcel of our job. As part of the three-year project "A United Civil Society for a Transparent Petroleum Sector", and in partnership with Publish What You Pay, Diaries of the Ocean is raising awareness on the environmental impact of the oil and gas sector on the marine environment in Lebanon. In November 2020, Diaries of the Ocean - in partnership with Publish What You Pay - organized a three-day online training hub for university students on environment, governance and transparency in the emerging petroleum sector in Lebanon.
