After 3 meetings with Uncle Sharad Pawar, NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Wednesday met his former deputy and Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray for the first time since the NCP leader joined the Mahayuti government. "I met Ajit Pawar and congratulated him, and I hope he will do the right work for the people. I have worked with him in 2019 as well and I know his style of work," Uddhav Thackeray said interacting with the media after the meeting. "I am confident that people of the state will get aid because he (Ajit Pawar) has the keys to the treasury," Uddhav Thackeray said speaking about Maharashtra's finance minister. Interestingly, yesterday NCP leader Sharad Pawar attended the opposition's unity meeting and Ajit Pawar's camp attended the NDA's meeting. Now the Thackeray- Pawar meeting is said to be a courtesy meeting. However, in politics, no meeting is just a courtesy meeting or for the purpose of seeking blessings. Sources in the NCP speaking to HW News English have said, This could be an attempt to try and get Uddhav Thackeray into the fold and get his avenge.
