The plaintiff was signed by a record label when he was only 15 years old. As he got older, the plaintiff started living life on the “downlow” and came out as gay after his boyfriend committed suicide. Though music is still part of his life, the plaintiff primarily works in the restaurant business now and hired his older brother to paint his restaurant. However, the plaintiff’s older brother allegedly failed to finish the job, so the plaintiff is suing for breach of contract. The defendant claims he is proud of his younger brother but feels the plaintiff is suing him prematurely.
