Goa Health Minister humiliates CMO, orders suspension; CM rejects it. | Mumbai Samachar A day after Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane ordered suspension of a chief medical officer at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant intervened and rejected the order. Pramod Sawant tweeted "I reviewed the issue and held discussions with the health minister. I want to assure the people of Goa that Dr Rudresh Kuttikar will not be suspended,". Reportedly, the incident happened after Vishwajit Rane received a complaint that the doctor refused to treat a patient and spoke improperly. In the video, the minister is heard saying, "You learn to control your tongue, you are a doctor, don't force me to act. However, loaded you are, you will talk to patients properly. You keep your mouth shut when I am speaking, Get out of here, you are suspended, kick him out of here." After receiving flak on social media and Chief Minister's intervention, the minister posted an apology on his 'X handle' saying, "Yes, as the Health Minister, I did intervene and I accept that my tone and words could have been more measured. I’m not above reflection or criticism. I take full responsibility for how I communicated, and I assure you, such an approach will not be repeated.
