I show how I save money on clothes by sewing. If you've never sewn before, it may cost you at least $150.00 to get set up. Therefore, this video is more for folks who have most of the equipment, but need some tips on how to save money with sewing. Sewing can actually be just as expensive as store bought clothes. I goofed and said point presser/clapper instead of sleeve board (an absolute essential to iron those hard to reach places). You always iron your seams after you finish them. Did some research on sewing machines. If I was a new sewer, I would buy a mechanical Brothers machine. I would stay away from the computerized machines, as they would probably not last as long. I love my mechanical sewing machine but, unfortunately, it is only available now used at eBay. I grew up on mechanical machines and hope they don't phase them out.
