a soft hungarian walnut cake with a delicious filling, easy to make and perfect for any day. try it and tell me from which country you are watching! ⸻ ingredients filling: • 200 g walnuts, toasted and chopped • 100 g sugar • 2 egg whites • 2–3 tbsp jam (apricot or any flavor) dough: • 150 g melted butter • 100 g powdered sugar • 1 egg yolk • 8 g vanilla sugar • 100 g sour cream or yogurt • 350–380 g flour • 10 g baking powder ⸻ instructions 1. toast and chop the walnuts, then mix them with sugar, egg whites, and jam. 2. mix melted butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, vanilla sugar, and sour cream. 3. add flour and baking powder gradually until a soft dough forms. 4. chill the dough for 30 minutes. 5. divide the dough into 3 parts, one slightly larger. 6. roll out the first piece and place it in a 22 cm mold. 7. spread half of the filling on top. 8. add the second dough layer and seal the edges. 9. add the rest of the filling and cover with the last dough layer. 10. prick the top with a wooden stick to release steam. 11. brush with egg yolk and bake at 180°c for 40–45 minutes. 12. let it cool completely, then cut and serve. ⸻ #hungariancake #walnutcake #hungariandessert #easydessert #cakerecipe #homemadecake #bakingrecipe #dessertideas #nutsrecipe #layercake #deliciousfilling #recipevideo #viralrecipe
