Hello :) This is the requested transcription I've done of the Jeff Lorber song "Delevans". The bass player on this track was Nathan East. You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Advanced Lesson Plan. I really enjoyed working on this one. It has a nice feel and is a little tricky. I had to really practice to try and even get close to Nathan's groove. He makes it sound effortless. Two things I learned and that helped me get through this one. Firstly, on the Ebm7 chord, slurring the octave to the 7th (on the G string) made it feel smoother, made the fingering easier and my sound was more consistent. Secondly, Subdividing and singing along in my head (especially for the "ah" of 1) really helped. Swing the 16ths and really stay on top of it. It makes for a great drum bass Play-Along which can be found here - • Delevans - Jeff Lorber - Bass/Drum Play Along I hope you enjoy it.
