4 Signs of Laylatul Qadr | How to Recognize Shab-e-Qadr in Ramadan 🌙 Laylatul Qadr (Shab-e-Qadr) is the most powerful night of Ramadan. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Qur’an: “Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.” (Surah Al-Qadr 97:3) That means worship on this single night is more valuable than 83 years of ibadah. Because of this, Muslims around the world search every Ramadan for the signs of Laylatul Qadr, Shab-e-Qadr dua, Laylatul Qadr worship, and the last 10 nights of Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught the Ummah to search for Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd nights: 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th. He said: “Search for Laylatul Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan.” (Sahih al-Bukhari) Islamic scholars and authentic hadith mention several signs connected with this blessed night. Signs of Laylatul Qadr mentioned in Hadith • The night feels peaceful, calm and moderate — not extremely hot or cold. (Musnad Ahmad) • The sky appears clear and tranquil, and the atmosphere feels spiritually calm. • Angels descend to the earth in great numbers, as mentioned in the Qur’an: “The angels and the Spirit (Jibreel) descend therein by permission of their Lord.” (Qur’an 97:4) • The sun rises the next morning without strong rays, appearing soft and white. (Sahih Muslim) However, an important point many people forget is that most signs of Laylatul Qadr appear after the night has already passed. This means the real strategy in Ramadan is not to wait for signs but to worship sincerely during every odd night of the last 10 nights. Muslims increase their Taraweeh, Tahajjud, Qur’an recitation, dhikr, istighfar, and dua during these nights because Laylatul Qadr is a chance for complete forgiveness. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr with faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim) The most powerful dua taught by the Prophet ﷺ for this night is: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni Meaning: “O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and You love to forgive, so forgive me.” (Sunan Tirmidhi) If you are searching for Laylatul Qadr signs, Shab-e-Qadr dua, Ramadan last 10 nights reminders, Laylatul Qadr worship guide, or Islamic reminders about Ramadan, this video explains the prophetic signs and how to prepare for this powerful night. May Allah allow us to witness Laylatul Qadr and accept our duas and prayers.
