The historic Penobscot River fell victim to the rapid damming of Americas rivers. Fortunately a massive effort is underway to reverse that. We paddled 25 miles over 2 days with the Penobscot Nation's Tribal Historian and learned about the rivers tumultuous past. The Penobscot River Restoration Project was a collaborative effort to balance fisheries restoration and hydropower production in Maine’s largest watershed.
