The most amazing luxurious resort Laguna Quays Qld opened in 1992. It included an 18 hole designer golf course, 70 birth Marina, 60 suite 5 star resort with restaurants, conference facilities, and much much more. By 1995 the company went bankrupt and although it was bought out by a number of large consortiums and businessmen over the following years, it seemed to have closed the doors in about 2002, however may have possibly reopened at some further stage for a short time. It also suffered through the destructive category 5 Cyclones, Yazi in Jan 2011 and Debbie in March 2017. Today it is sad to see this magnificent resort, now reduced to decay, vandalism, and totally abandoned. Take a walk through what is left of the main Lodge and Convention rooms, as well as the marina area. Drive down the beautiful palm lined boulevards and get a feeling of Laguna Quays Resort that was amazing - only for a moment in time.
