Sree Ram Temple, Nayagarh It is located on the Giri-Govardhan hills in Fatehgarh, Nayagarh district of Odisha. The hill where the temple stands has long been considered sacred, known as Giri-Govardhan Pahad. Villagers historically performed rituals like Govardhan Puja there, seeking rain, and the "Daru" (sacred wood) for the Lord Jagannath idol was found there in 1912. The construction of the new temple started in 2017. The project was funded by the local villagers of Fategarh, people from nearby areas, and the Sriram Seva Parishad. This temple is called the Second Ayodhya of Odisha as the foundation ceremony or Praan Pratistha Utsav of this temple was held along with the Ayodhya Shree Ram Temple on January 22, 2024. The temple is built in the Rekha style, a traditional Odia architectural style, and constructed from a specific type of local stone known as 'Baulamala' stone. This temple is located 38 km from Nayagarh city and 58 km from Bhubaneswar's Bermuda Bus Terminal. Thank you so much for watching.
