Meet the Steppers of Dystinction at Northridge Middle School

Northridge Middle School has created a new opportunity for kids to be a part of an athletics team. Darren Ford, a teacher leading this, saw the need for Northridge students that were not involved in the "traditional" CMS athletics for a variety of reasons, to have the opportunity to participate on a team of a sport that has a rich history that consists of cultural pride and accountability. The Steppers of Dystinction Step Team not only focuses on the art of stepping, but they believe in setting high standards for all members of their team - having expectations of each one's behavior in and out of school, having expectations of their academic achievement, and expectations of being supportive team members.
