Wide shot of news conference. 14. SOUNDBITE (English) Bob Mack, Federal Bureau of Investigation: "The I-D was pretty easy. I believe our legal attache went in and confronted....the individual who he thought to be Mr. Luster and asked him his name and I think he said 'I'm Andrew Luster.' So that's pretty easy." 15. Still photo shot of Andrew Luster 16. SOUNDBITE (English) Bob Mack, Federal Bureau of Investigation. "Embarrassing? No. I mean we were on the trail and I think it would have been inevitable that he would have been arrested. So....I think as special agent Bolter mentioned....that it was a little out of what we would recommend private citizens to do to go out and actually make the arrest. So we were surprised, not embarrassed. He's in custody and that's the bottom line. He's off the streets and coming back to the country, to this country to serve his time." 10. Mid shot of news conference. STORYLINE: After five months on the run, Max Factor cosmetics heir and convicted rapist Andrew Luster was caught on Wednesday in Mexico. Mexican police arrested him as he scuffled with bounty hunters who trailed him to the resort town, Puerta Vallarta. Earlier this year, a California court had convicted and sentenced Luster in absentia to 124 years in jail for multiple counts of rape, poisoning and drug possession. The 39-year-old great-grandson of makeup legend Max Factor disappeared in January during a recess in his trial. Mexican Police said Luster had been living in Puerto Vallarta about a month before bounty hunters tracked him down on Wednesday, seizing him in a noisy scuffle that prompted neighbours to call the police. The group then headed out of town in two cars, apparently on their way to the United States with Luster, but were stopped by police. A US couple who had met Luster in Puerto Vallarta tipped of the bounty hunters and the FBI after then returned to the USA. The three bounty hunters were detained on charges of being in Mexico illegally, police said. Luster was later transferred from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City.
