Another unfinished COVID era video brought back to life! GETTYSBURG for horn choir. Memorial Day was originally called "Decoration Day" and was created to honor those who died in the Civil War. It was first observed on May 30, 1868, by the Grand Army of the Republic. The tradition involved decorating graves with flowers and flags. Over time, the holiday evolved to honor all those who have died in service to the country, not just those from the Civil War. This performance was recorded by horn players of varying abilities from across the globe during the COVID-19 pandemic. All horn players recorded their individual parts and submitted the audio and video recordings to create this virtual horn choir. 14 horn players were involved in this performance. "Gettysburg Theme" composed by Randy Edelman Arranged for horn choir by Jonathan Snyder All video footage from the fil Gettysburg copyright Turner Pictures, Inc.
